About Us
Student Voice is a non
profit organization dedicated to strengthening
the student movement for equitable schools,
founded in 2017 by a group of concerned
individuals to give students a voice.
Student Voice is working to become a
representative body for all students, supporting
young people in representing their views on
issues around education in schools and higher
education.
Through our core initiatives, Student Voice aims
to illustrate the state of schools and higher
education institutes today, as well as identify
student-centric and student-created solutions to
address the systemic inequity in the South
African education system. This inequity
manifests itself as a disparity in access to
opportunities and resources across schools and
universities nationwide, specifically as it
relates to socioeconomically disadvantaged
students and school districts.
